My name is Sara and I’m so glad that you made your way here! Welcome to my blog! Pull up a chair, invite your pup up into your lap and get comfy!
As for me, I am a lover of photography and art, a connoisseur of crab cakes, I am a big fan of the great outdoors, I try to find beauty in everything, I am head-over-heels crazy in love with my two doggies and my husband {more on them in a little bit}, I am truly an island girl at heart, I love cooking, gardening and growing my own vegetables and herbs, I love the ocean and salt water air, as well as music. If the opportunity presented itself I think I could swim all day long. I am a ‘the glass is half full’ type of gal and an eternal optimist at heart. Above all else and most importantly, I am a BIG-TIME-ANIMAL-LOVER. It’s so true.
I would love to introduce you to my family. You are going to see and hear about them a lot around here, so I figure that a proper introduction is surely in order!

Hanalei Riddle: Pronounced Ha-nuh-lay. It’s okay if you didn’t get it on your first try, hardly anyone does, her grandparents still to this day call her Hannah Lee, bless their hearts. She’s named after one of my favorite places on Kauai’i. Don’t waste too much time trying to pronounce her name because we all call her Tater Tot, or Tot. Tater Tot is my feisty little happy go lucky love bug who is a free spirit and she has a real zest for life. She’s definitely a tom-girl and could play fetch until the cows come home. Tot loves her toys and isn’t too fond of sharing them. She lives life to it’s fullest everyday and is filled with 100% pure love, joy and happiness. Tater Tot greets me every morning with the gentlest lick of her velvety tongue on my nose. I simply cannot imagine life without my little Tot. She is all heart and soul and the inspiration for how I choose to approach life.

Makena Riddle: Makena was named after the beach where my husband and I were married. We call her Kiki, though sometimes we call her Kiki Beans, most of the time we call her princess. Kiki is definitely a girlie girl through and through, she is also very intelligent. She loves to be pampered and spoiled and cooed over. We joke that she sleeps 23 1/2 hours a day – which is a slight over exaggeration, but the girl really does love her beauty sleep. When she’s not sleeping, she is our ever vigilant watch dog and does frequent perimeter sweeps around our house {her heightened guard dog skills come natural to her being a schnauzer and all}. She demands to sleep in between my pillow and my husband’s pillow at the top of the bed where we tuck her in with her fleece baby blanket every night. She thinks she is a person and can ham it up with the best of ‘em. She’s our little social butterfly and we love her so, so, so, so very much. She melts my heart.

Matt Riddle: Matt is the kindest, sweetest and most gentle giant I’ve ever met {he’s really tall}. He’s my husband, my best friend and the technical support for Photography by Sara Riddle {which we here at PBSR are very grateful for}. Matt enjoys deep sea fishing, traveling, golfing, surfing, college football {he’s a die hard OU fan}, chillaxing, reading, firing up the BBQ, and he loves cajun and super spicy foods. He’s a super laid back guy who enjoys the simple things in life, he’s always open to new ideas and trying new things and he really loves his dogs. Let me assure you that my girls are just as gaga over him, they squeal with excitement when he comes home everyday. It’s seriously the most adorable thing ever.
